The Road to Freedom: Motorcycle Rentals

Planning a motorcycle trip is a little bit different from planning any other type of vacation. Not only are you packing lighterand making careful consideration of seasons and weather conditions, you're building greater flexibility into your itinerary. On a motorcycle, you find a greater emphasis on the journey itself, as opposed to the destination. It's hard to say exactly what makes a ride good, especially as preferences vary from biker to biker. Some prefer winding mountain roads, while others enjoy long stretches of farm country where a person can reach high speeds with relative safety. Across the board, however, people seem to like it best when there is light traffic, scenic views and just enough friendly places to stop for a break and a good meal. While we at Auto Europe never seem to stop finding new and intriguing roads to ride, these are some of our favorite places to begin:

Big Sur MotorcycleCalifornia
'The Golden State' is a bit of a misnomer to any true lover of California. This state features golden, rolling fields flecked with ancient Spanish Oaks, it's true, but anyone who looks will see every color on the spectrum in California, from the turquoise waves of Malibu to the coast redwoods of Big Sur. I have personally spent some of the happiest times of my life on a Harley on the Pacific Coast Highway as it stretches between eclectic and urban Santa Monica and laid back Monterey. Riders with great endurance can continue rolling all the way through to Oregon to soak in the charm and beauty of the Pacific Northwest, but another great option is to venture inland to the for otherworldly high desert and Sierra views, as you make your way back to the Los Angeles area.

New Hampshire
Soak in the beauty of New England with a motorcycle rental from Manchester, New Hampshire. It's a great starting point for exploring the Northern Appalachian Mountains, and catching views from the summit of Mount Washington. The Ossipee Trail is a great starting point for an exciting day trip, but for a longer journey, it's great to venture into Vermont or up coastal Rt. 1 of Maine. In either direction, there are an abundance of quaint little towns and gorgeous scenery at each turn of fresh highway.

The Appalachian countryside awaits your exploration, and renting a motorcycle in Knoxville, Tennessee is a great way to get on the road! From there, it's an easy hour and a half ride into the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. The terrain is characterized by gentle, rolling evergreen hillsides and a network of crystalline lakes and streams. Bikers seeking a challenge should be sure to include the Deal's Gap, a short mile stretch of road with well over intense curves and turns and 16 mountain peaks. This area is especially breathtaking in the fall, when the bloom of the forest leaves display magnificent colors. For a gentler long-weekend trip, it's a lot of fun to venture further east to Virginia Beach.

Montana ViewMontana
Billings, Montana is an ideal city to rent a motorcycle because it is encompassed by astonishing national parks and pristine vistas, all within an easy day of riding into virtually any direction. Some of the choicest routes that any committed biker must try include the Beartooth Highway of Yellowstone and the Sun Road of Glacier National Park. The former is a mile roller-coaster through rugged Rocky Mountain terrain complete with dense forests, glittering lakes and white-capped peaks. The latter is a mile ascension over Logan Pass, among mind-blowing vistas and jagged hillsides. You may find yourself riding alongside proud herds of bighorn sheep or other unique fauna while you taste exhilaration on the roads of Montana.

Whichever stretch of asphalt ribbon beckons your very heart and soul; you can put freedom in front of you with a motorcycle rental through Auto Europe. You've been able to count on our quality rental cars at low prices for years. We are proud to extend our award-winning customer service and incredible discounts to gorgeous motorcycle rentals across the USA. We are eager to help you arrange your dream ride. EagleRider Knoxville has the largest selection of motorcycles maintained to meet strict factory standards providing a fun, safe, and affordable riding experience.

Knoxville, home to the University of Tennessee Volunteers, sits on the Tennessee River. Its Market Square district is marked by 19th-century buildings with shops and restaurants. The Museum of East Tennessee History has interactive exhibits plus regional art, textiles and Civil War artifacts. James White’s Fort, built by the Revolutionary War captain, includes the reconstructed log cabin. Amusements include the landmark tower Sunsphere, Knoxville Zoo, McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture, and the downtown area along Gay Street.

But for motorcyclists, the big draw to Knoxville is the Great Smoky Mountains and famed Blue Ridge Parkway, one of the sport’s iconic rides. Noted for its scenic beauty, The Blue Ridge Parkway travels miles from Cherokee, NC to the southern tip of Shenandoah National Park to the north, passing through the colorful town of Asheville and Roanoke along the way. It runs mainly along the Blue Ridge, a mountain chain that is part of the Appalachians. There are plenty of overlooks, picnic and camping sites, lodging and various local attractions along the way. No big rigs allowed and no speeders on this road; however, the parkway’s speed limit is a pokey 45 mph, so throttling out your machine is not an option.

Some rides favored by locals include the Top Secret Trail. The route starts in town and heads east through the Upper Cumberland Plateau and through the Appalachian foothills. Along the way, learn about the mysterious city of Oak Ridge, the Appalachian crafts around every corner, and the area’s coal mining history. If you complete the trail from beginning to end, you’ll traverse nine state parks, plenty of hiking trails, and even some off-road ATV trails.

The Knoxville Civil War Trail takes riders through some of the most notable scenes in the area. The ride starts on Chapman Highway at Fort Dickerson, a site of Union and Confederate battles. The tour also visits Fort Sanders, a Union outpost, as well as the Old Gray Cemetery, where fallen from both sides of the war still rest in peace, probably. Bleak House, a luxurious mansion that briefly served as a Confederate headquarters, is a highlight of the tour, as is Campbell’s Station, where the Battle of Knoxville was fought.

EagleRider Knoxville serves as the perfect starting point to rent a motorcycle in Knoxville. We also carry the major touring motorcycles like Electra Glide, Street Glide, Heritage Softail, Road King, and Road Glide, which make us the perfect choice for Motorcycle Rentals Knoxville.

So, grab your sunscreen, sunglasses, and riding boots; and join us for your dream Knoxville motorcycle rental today!
