Pioneer 760W 2 Channels Bridgeable Car Amplifiers
Pros: Attractive case, Pioneer branding. Low distortion. It has the speaker inputs to eliminate the need for an RCA converter, but so do most other comparable amps. Fairly strong output.
Cons: But don't kid yourself...this is not, by any means, a competition amp. Really, it's not even an amp that likes to be pushed. It will and does overheat, although it recovers pretty quickly. I can get it to run about 5 seconds, full gain at 2 OHM with very little distortion, but that is about it. Also, the low pass on it is not very low. There are better low pass filters on amps half the price of this one. I was the most disappointed on the low pass Htz, which is not adjustable at all.
Overall Review: Basically, if you are looking for an amp that is visually appealing, this is not bad. It will push a couple of 10" subs fairly well. If you must have this amp, I would advise getting a separate crossover, because you will be very disappointed in the built-in one. All in all, I don't think Pioneer amps have caught up with Pioneer head units and subs, yet.
Class-FD 4-Channel Bridgeable Amplifier with Bass Boost Remote
Pioneer Class D3 amplifiers contain advanced integrated circuitry technology creating unmatched power without sacrificing sound quality or performance.
Class D3 amplifiers use a Direct Signal Path Design to provide the shortest audio signal path possible. By eliminating EMI filters, feedback loops, and current limiters of previous designs, Class D3 reduces ringing distortion and noise, especially in the high frequency audio band.
Plus, Pioneer’s exclusive Advanced MCACC® uses a 3D calibration method with even more precise measurements. The system automatically measures level, distance, phase, frequency, crossover frequency, and a host of other criteria, and makes adjustments to perfect the sound in your room — a much easier process than manual settings — and lets you check the measured data in the MCACC application.
Combined with Pioneer Elite Dolby® Atmos compatible speakers, Class D3 Amplifiers have plenty of authority to simultaneously drive 9 channels at up to 850 W (SC-89) total power output, letting you fully enjoy the enveloping dynamic scenes of a true 3-dimensional experience.
